GAZYVA infusions are given through an IV (intravenous) infusion by a healthcare professional.
Here is what your infusion schedule will look like:
Your first infusion, at the standard infusion rate, takes about 4 hours and 15 minutes so your care team can monitor how you respond. This longer appointment allows your care team to watch you closely for any potential reactions.
A shorter ~90-minute infusion, beginning at Dose 2 in Year 1, is available if you do not have a serious infusion-related reaction during Dose 1, or with following infusions. Ask your doctor if a shorter-duration infusion may be right for you.
During the infusion process, some patients may experience side effects, and the infusion may take longer. Your doctor may slow or stop the infusion for reactions. The stated infusion time does not include premedications or observation. Please refer to the safety information for more information about these reactions.
*You will receive 4 infusions during your first year. Starting in the second year, you will receive 1 dose once every 6 months.
